As part of the Hinkley Point C Project and the construction of two new nuclear reactors by EDF in Somerset, Framatome participates in one of the major industrial projects of the coming decade.
Framatome is a key player in the nuclear industry worldwide and one of the main Tier 1 for the construction of 2 EPRs on the Hinkley Point site – in particular, they supply and install (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning):
- the Primary equipment including the reactor pressure vessel and the steam generators
- the safety instrumentation and control system and the core instrumentation system
Framatome will also supply the fuel for HPC under a long-term agreement.
